After days of intense competition, the 2025 Faculty of Finance and Accounting Sports Festival at Lac Hong University officially concluded with an emotional closing ceremony on the evening of March 20, 2025, at the university’s Physical Education field.
Kicking off in early March, this year’s Sports Festival featured thrilling matches across various events, including men’s and women’s football, volleyball, badminton, tug-of-war, athletics, and stick pushing. Student-athletes from different classes competed with determination, integrity, and teamwork, delivering spectacular performances throughout the tournament.
Outstanding Achievements Across Events:
In athletics, the men’s gold medal went to Pham Tuan Vuong (23LG111), while Tran Thi Bich Thu (23NH111) triumphed in the women’s category.
In stick pushing, champions included Nguyen Nhat Hao (over 75kg), Bui Van Trinh (66kg – 75kg), and Ho Tran Phuc Hau (under 66kg).
In tug-of-war, the men’s championship was claimed by class 24LG111, while class 23KT111 secured the women’s title.
The volleyball tournament saw the Alumni team emerge as the champions, with 23LG111 finishing second and 22LGKT taking third place. The Best Style Award was given to 24NH, while 24LG111 and 24LG112 received consolation prizes.
The football finals were a spectacle of skill and strategy:
In women’s football, class 22KTLG was crowned champion, with 24NH111 and 23LG111 taking second and third place, respectively. Nguyen Hoang Nhu Y (22NH111) was named Best Player, while Do Thi Thu Uyen (22KT111) was honored as Best Goalkeeper.
In men’s football, Alumni Team 2 secured the championship, followed by Class of 2022 in second place, and 23LG111 in third place. The Best Style Award went to Alumni Team 1, while 24LG111, 23K, and 24NH received consolation prizes. Tran Thanh Huy was awarded Best Player, and Dinh Tuan Khoi won Best Goalkeeper.
A Ceremony of Recognition and Gratitude:
During the closing ceremony, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting leadership presented awards to individuals and teams with outstanding performances. The Organizing Committee also extended its heartfelt gratitude to the faculty members, students, and sponsors, whose contributions made the event a resounding success.
Speaking at the event, a representative of the Organizing Committee emphasized that the Sports Festival was not just a competitive platform but also an opportunity for students to enhance their physical fitness, foster teamwork, and cultivate a vibrant sports culture within the faculty.
