On the morning of May 26, 2025, LHU held a send-off ceremony for the Lac Hong Robocon team participating in the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest 2025. The event was warmly attended by Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector; DSc. Pham Van Toan - Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics; leaders of units under LHU; members of the Robocon Steering Committee; robot teams; along with special guests from Mabuchi Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd., SMC Corporation Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Henkel Adhesive Technologies Vietnam Co., Ltd.

As reported, the ABU Robocon 2025 will be hosted in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with the central theme of basketball. This exciting and challenging theme promises to deliver spectacular performances from competing teams. Audiences can anticipate intelligently designed robots capable of agile movements and performing basketball techniques such as shooting, passing, and even long-range scoring.

This year, a total of 68 members from two faculties: Mechatronics - Electronics and Information Technology make up five teams competing in the event. Before the send-off ceremony, the teams underwent rigorous training and participated in four internal scrimmage tournaments to enhance their tactical skills, test competition strategies, and refine their robot control techniques.
With a proud history, including 3 championships at the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest and 9 championships at the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest, and an unyielding spirit, LHU Robocon has never missed a season in its 21-year journey. Each generation of Robocon is a flame passed on, igniting the spirit of Vietnamese engineers - skilled and endlessly creative.
At the event, representing Henkel Adhesive Technologies Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Nguyen Tho, emphasized the importance of nurturing talents in robotics and automation, and also sent encouraging words to the 2025 LHU Robocon delegation.

In his remarks, Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector and Head of the Lac Hong Robocon Committee stated “The fields of robotics and automation are rapidly evolving. This competition is a valuable opportunity for you to apply your knowledge in practice, broaden your perspectives, and sharpen your skills. I hope you will uphold the spirit of learning and teamwork - remaining humble in victory and resilient in defeat”. Following his deployment order, Mr. Nguyen Ba Thuan, Head of the 2025 Lac Hong Robocon team, delivered a solemn pledge on behalf of the mentors and team members, capturing their strong spirit and unwavering determination.

The Vietnam Robocon 2025 competition will take place from June 3 to 13 at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium. The preliminary rounds will be held from June 4 to 6, followed by the finals from June 8 to 13.
