SMC Automation Lab

On April 8, 2024, LHU officially inaugurated the SMC Automation Lab, situated on the 5th floor of the Center of Scientific Research and Applications (Campus 6). This is the first modern laboratory of its kind in Dong Nai, built for both faculty members and students, and sponsored by SMC Corporation (Japan), with equipment valued at over VND 6.5 billion.

The lab is equipped with thousands of high-standard pneumatic devices and automation technologies, closely simulating real-world operations in modern industry. Additionally, LHU’s lecturers have undergone specialized training in pneumatics and automation, significantly enhancing the quality of both theoretical and practical instruction.

The establishment of the SMC Automation Lab is the result of a strategic partnership between LHU and SMC Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., creating opportunities to elevate hands-on training for disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical – Electronics Engineering Technology, and Control & Automation Engineering Technology.

Beyond training, the lab also supports scientific research, robotics development, and student preparation for innovation competitions such as Robocon Vietnam – where LHU has consistently held its reputation as one of the nation’s top-performing institutions.
